The program and its benefits
To move forward in your job search, sometimes you need a helping hand. Having a mentor means having someone who motivates and advises you. As a duo, you are twice as likely to:

Free Coaching
Your mentor is a volunteer, trained by DUO for a JOB, and you don't have to pay anything to benefit from their valuable advice.
An individualized support
Your mentor is available to support you for 6 months, guiding you throughout this period. Together, you will create a personalized action plan tailored to your needs and ambitions.
A rewarding experience
You will have access to collective workshops to help you prepare for your interviews, participate in interview simulations with HR specialists, and expand your network by meeting new people.

A 4 steps program
6 months to move at your own pace and reach your goals: secure a permanent contract (CDI), find a training course, obtain your license, improve your language skills, and more.

The info session
Whether digital or face-to-face, in the city of your choice, this is an opportunity to introduce the program to you and answer any questions you may have.

The individual appointment
You will meet with one of our coordinators to discuss your background, experience, expectations, and more. This information will help us match you with the mentor who's the best fit for you.

The first encounter
You get to know your potential future mentor, allowing both of you to connect. This is an important step before deciding whether to validate your duo or not.

The duo
For 6 months, you will have:
👉 20 appointments (2 hours each) with your mentor
👉 A coordinator who supervises your duo
👉 Workshops to prepare for job interviews
👉 A warm and fully equipped workspace, open 5 days a week
👉 Loaned computer equipment (on request)

Frequently asked questions
To be able to participate in the program, you must: 👉 Be between 18 and 33 years old 👉 Be of non-European nationality or be Belgian with an immigration background = Have at least one parent or grandparent born outside the European Union 👉 Be able to express yourself either in French, Dutch or English 👉 Be the holder of a valid residence permit in Belgium (orange cards and student visas are not taken into account) 👉 Be actively looking for a job
The mentor is there to help you and give you the tools you need for your job search. His role is not to find you a job. He expects you to give yourself the opportunity to find a job, that you agree to create this bond of trust between you which will be one of the keys to the success of your duo!
We don't ask for a specific level of study. 50% of our mentees have a bachelor, master or even PhD diploma, the other half general secondary, primary level or no diploma.
